Skye's 1st Easter (awake)!
A year ago we celebrated Easter at Huddart Park with Jan, Tim, Will and George and their friends. At that time Skye was only 6 weeks old and I was a bleary-eyed, bewildered new mum! Skye spent most of the time in her car seat asleep, quite a difference as to how it would be this year!

Easter morning started with an Easter bunny and an Easter Egg cake for breakfast. The cake was yummy and we all had a piece! Skye loved it (of course).

Before we head out to Huddard Park, Skye uses up some of her Easter Egg cake energy to ride on her car. She's in such a good mood, that we contemplate starting each day with chocolate. I know I 'd like it ;-)
It is raining outside so we prepare ourselves for a wet and dirty day! Luckily Mary arrives with a belated birthday present for Skye which keeps her in an upright position for most of her time there.

The walker 'saves the day' and convinces Skye that walking is more fun than crawling in the puddles and mud. Phew!
There is a good turnout at the park and a pile of food and coffee for us all. After a spot of hard boiled egg-dying it's time for the Easter egg hunt to begin!

Skye is not quite sure what's she's supposed to be doing and looks a little confused in this photo.

With a little help, she soon gets the hang of it and has a couple of eggs in her basket.

She even finds an egg up a tree!
We all had a love time at the park and were last to leave! Looking forward to this event every year....
Thanks for organizing it Jan and Tim!
