Walking is fun!

I love to walk with my red car! I can go pretty fast nowadays! I like to be vertical in general and will stand at the table for long periods of time just hanging out. I can see so much more when I'm standing up!

I'm not very good at standing up on my own though and my wee legs feel very shaky. When my Mummy holds my hands and walks with me she sometimes lets go of one hand and I get very scared. I'm going to try to be more brave though and not sit down everytime she does it. Sometimes I realise that I am standing all on my own for a few seconds which is a very strange feeling!

Anyway, I have some exploring to do....byeeeeeee....

A mellow day at home

It's one of those rare days when I stay at home and clean the house! Well Skye decides to 'help'. Needless to say she takes after me and hasn't quite gotten the hang of housekeeping yet!!

We manage to survive the day and then head off to Jan's house for dinner. Skye has fun there as Will and George have loads of toys for her to play with. She also has a new house to explore and does so with gusto!

Kathleen, Andy and there little son James are also there, as is Graham, the only kid-free adult in the house! James is a really good little boy and just sits there smiling and cooing. I took some photos which I'll upload tomorrow as he is *very* photogenic.

Skye stays up until 9:30pm!!! Of course as soon as I get her in the car she passes out and doesn't even stir when I get home and transfer her to her crib. I stay up late as I'm sure she'll sleep a lot later in the morning. But noooo such luck and she sings to me from downstairs and tells me she is hungry. Sigh...

On the move...

I am a crawling maniac! I love to crawl! I am so fast that Mummy and Daddy have trouble keeping up with me. I have crawled almost everywhere *except* out onto the deck. They just won't let me out there! I try to sneak out when they're not looking, but even Tommy is on guard as you can tell from this photo. One day I will make it to the other side and will see for myself what is out there, but until then I can only fantasize about it.

I also love to climb the stairs! Kellan taught me this a few weeks ago, but only now have I had the chance to try it out! If only he could see me he'd definitely think I was a little studdette and fall madly in love with me!

Of course, all this crawling and climbing takes it's toll and by the end of the day I barely have enough energy to finish my bottle of milk....

.

Happy New Year!

OK - so it's a bit late, but it's really hard to keep our little blog up-to-date what with all the new activities in our lives right now!

We had a lovely New Year on the boat. John cooked a really nice meal and we drank lots of wine, vodka and champagne, watched a couple of videos and somehow managed to stay awake until the bells! Skye, of course, was quietly snoring in the bunk below and we didn't hear a peep out of her until the next morning! Tommy was also down below protecting Skye, or was he just hiding from all the scary firework noises...the big baby that he is!

The next morning we awoke to quite stormy weather so we huckered down and lazed about all morning watching videos and drinking more Champagne, this time with Orange juice.

This photo is of us on the morning of 1/1/2006!! A very nice start to the new year...

Me? I'm cool!

Mummy showed me her blog entry for our Christmas trip to Tahoe and I just COULD NOT BELIEVE that she hadn't put up my very favorite photo! So I whined and cried and stamped my feet and then got Daddy's help and he whined and cried and stamped his feet too and eventually Mummy gave in an put my photo up! It was worth all that effort don't you think? I look pretty cool in my little red glasses and multi-colored hat. Shame about the pyjamas though...

Christmas in Tahoe

Firstly, sorry it has taken so long to update the blog! It's just been a really busy couple of weeks!

We decided to spend Christmas up in Lake Tahoe. Just John, myself, Skye and Tommy (the wonder dog). We found a nice little duplex cabin which seemed perfect and off we went. Here's how it went:

We drive up in a *Very* packed car:

This is Skye after a 2.5 hour snowshoe hike on xmas eve:

Skye enjoys her new 'ride' on Christmas day!

The day after christmas (boxing day) we go on Skye's first ski tour!

We stop for lunch....

All in all we had a great time up in Tahoe! It's hard to capture how nice it was in this short blog, but it was just great to be up there again and in the great outdoors. This is how life should be!
