A first Birthday party!

This is my friend Jessica! She just turned 1 year old and I got invited to her birthday party! Jessica loves cake as you can tell from her face! I love cake too, but mommy wouldn't let me have any :-( Just cos she's on a diet, we all have to suffer. Bah humbug!

Here are my other friends: Hope (who is playing with my hair) and Jaydin who is my hero 'cos she can walk (or very nearly walk anyway!) I met Jessica, Hope and Jaydin at the Kaisers moms group. In those days we just lay there on our blankets like little lumps of joy and our mommies made up fake problems they had with us to ask the nice woman Marcy who ran the group. We were really no problem at all, but they felt they had to pretend to have a reason for being there other than just to hang out with the other moms! After group we always went for lunch at Le Boulanger, but I don't remember much about that cos I was mostly always sleeping by then.

Oh I guess I should mentions the moms names! Hope's mom is Jen, Jessica's is Lisa and Jaydin's is Shari. And of course, my beautiful mom's name is Alison!

A small Christmas party!

Christmas must be a big thing. There are so many things going on at this time of the year! Today we are having a little xmas party for the Coastside Mothers club and it's being held at our house! Our tree is now up and I am mesmerised by it. The lights flicker on and off and there are shiny balls all over it and a star on top. It's cool! The downside of the party is that I have to get all dressed up in a skirt....and they insist of making me wear a Santa hat! Oh the humiliation of it
all....

I do look rather cute in my little kilt though. It came all the way from Scotland - it says so on the label.

I cut down a Christmas tree!

Today we cut down our own Christmas tree!! But that was in the afternoon. In the morning, Mummy jogged down to the beach with Tommy and I. She threw the ball for ages for Tommy and she let me sit and play in the sand. I got covered in the stuff and mummy didn't care. She is so cool that way! Then she let me go 'paddling' in the ocean. She rolled up my sweatpant legs and I played in the water. It was sooooo cold!

In the afternoon, Daddy came back from crabbing, and that's when we went to cut down the tree. We chose a huge big tree and I helped Daddy cut it down with a big saw. It was hard work, but I'm a hardy girl so it was no problem for me. I guess Daddy helped a little bit, or so he likes to think ;-)

Later we went shopping which was sooo boring, but all in all I had a lovely day!

My new boyfriend

Today we visited mummy's friend Duffy who lives far away from our house and has a cute little son called Kellan. I quite fancy him. He has big brown eyes and is 6 months older than me so is perfect. He showed me how to climb the stairs and he let me play with all of his toys. We had fun together! We also all went out for lunch and Kellan and I had a competition to see who could make the most noise by banging our hands on the table. I think he won, but I am going to practise, so that the next time I will win! It was a lovely day out. I wish mummy never had to work and I could spend every day with her like this!

I can walk...well sort of!

Did I tell you I can crawl too? I have been trying to crawl for the last month, then suddenly, just before I went to Wisconsin, I worked out how to move forwards instead of backwards! It was so exciting! Now I can get anywhere I want and can explore the whole house. I've been all around the fireplace, under the table, in the bathroom, in Tommy's food bowl (!), behind the curtains. It's so much fun. And now I'm already learning to walk. Just you wait Mummy and Daddy...soon there will be no stopping me!

Thanksgiving in Wisconsin!

I just wanted to say that I had a fantastic time in Wisconsin, seeing Grandma Angie again and meeting Grandpa Forest for the first time! Grandma made me lots of nice food and was a lot more generous with the helpings than my skimpy parents ;-) I also got to meet all my Wisconsin Uncles, Aunts and neices and nephews. They really spoilt me and I enjoyed being center of attention all the time! Here's a photo of me with them.

It also snowed when I was there. Mummy and Daddy have told me all about snow, but I didn't really know what they were talking about! Now I do ...and I love it! It is so white and sparkly..like a little bit of heaven. My mum told me that when I was really young (only 6 weeks old) I spent a week at a ski report where there was lots of snow. I can't remember that though. I wouldn't have thought I'd forget something as cool as this, but I'm learning so many new things so maybe it's understandable!

I spent a whole 10 days in Wisonsin and I had a lovely time. I especially liked spending so much time with Grandma Angie. She carried me about everywhere on her hip and cooked lots of nice meals at the same time. Sometimes I have to scream at the top of my lungs to get my mum to pick me up! ...as for her cooking..well that's another story. Thank Goodness I'm still eating baby food!
